Seller is asking I pay more postage if I want item!
Dec 6, 2012 10:06 PM

Hi. I bid and won an item with a fixed postage cost. I paid immediately. The seller has contacted me a week after purchase saying it will cost her more than she originally thought to send the item (double original cost) and that I need to pay the extra if I want the item, if i don't  she will relist the item. Is this right? Thanks

No its not right.

Postage costs as outlined by sellers are binding and you shouldn't have to pay any more.

If buyer doesn't send the item, then open a Not Received Dispute to get your money back.

Then leave appropriate DSR's and feedback.

Hi,

No She cant ask you to pay extra, She is obliged to send to you at the postage stated.

If she refuses open an case in the resolution center for item not received. if she refunds you report for seller none performance, and leave feedback as you think fit.

Dont accept a cancellation request, Speaking a seller, this is what gives sellers on ebay a bad name

You do not need to pay any extra. The seller should have weighed the item before listing.

if they refund your payment you can open a seller non performance case.

Do not be intimidated by unscrupulous sellers who behave in this way.

If you end up opening a case, do not close it until you are happy with the end result as you cannot open another one.

no its not, advise the seller you will not pay any more and if she doesnt send the item you will be opening an item not received case against her and will leave feedback accordingly. seriously the amount of sellers trying this trick lately is unbelievable.
